zypl.ai begins operations in Japan and focuses on next-generation risk models

zypl.ai, a developer of synthetic data and AI solutions for financial risk management, announces its entry into the Japanese market.
zypl.ai's entry into the Japanese market coincides with significant changes in the country's economy. After more than 20 years of low interest rates, Japan is gradually raising them. For banks and FinTech companies, this means new risks, changes in customer behavior, and increased uncertainty in financial markets.
Most risk models were developed in an environment of cheap money and a stable economy. In this new reality, such models perform worse, and there is simply no data to evaluate future scenarios.
In response to these challenges, zypl.ai offers its own zGAN synthetic data generation technology, which allows:
— to simulate scenarios not represented in historical data, including extreme and stress situations
— to safely create data for testing and validating models without the risk of leaking sensitive information
— to proactively adapt risk models to the changing macroeconomic environment, rather than post-factum.
Entry into the Japanese market was made possible with the support of Carbide Ventures, one of zypl.ai's largest investors. The fund is based in Silicon Valley and has strategic LPs in Japan, including leading banks in the country.
As part of the C5+1 forum, zypl.ai also signed a partnership agreement with Treasure Data, one of the AI unicorns in SoftBank's portfolio, to develop joint AI solutions using synthetic data for the Japanese market.
zypl's entry into Japan is not just a geographical expansion, but a test of the future of risk management in the face of a real macroeconomic shift, where the key asset is not past data, but the ability to create data for the future.
