In Astana, Meta representatives visited Astana Hub and alem.ai

The Meta delegation visited the International Artificial Intelligence Center alem.ai in Astana. It included company representatives responsible for government policy in the technology sector in Asia and other regions.

Among the guests were Senura Abeywardena, Head of Government Affairs for Central Asia, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives; Philip Chua, Director of Government Affairs for Products in the Asia-Pacific Region; and Yuen Ting Chai, Director of Government Affairs for South and Central Asia.

During the visit, the delegation familiarized itself with the Astana Hub ecosystem, visited the Singularity Museum, TUMO Astana, and Tomorrow School. Meta representatives also met with Magzhan Madiev, CEO of Astana Hub. The parties discussed opportunities for strategic partnership.

The visit took place in 2026, which has been declared the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence in Kazakhstan.
