Xpanceo has unveiled the world's first AR-enabled eye lens with biosensors and wireless charging.

Xpanceo presented prototypes of smart contact lenses at Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, offering innovative solutions in the field of wearable electronics.

One of the key achievements was a lens with wireless power supply, providing twice the range compared to previous solutions. The lens remains lightweight and flexible, and the radiation level is comparable to ordinary wearable devices such as headphones. Power is supplied from a portable accessory resembling a contact lens case, which can be carried in a bag or pocket.

Another prototype is equipped with a biosensor that allows measuring body parameters directly from tear fluid, eliminating the need for blood sampling. It can monitor glucose, hormone, and vitamin levels, opening up new opportunities in health management.

Another development focuses on monitoring intraocular pressure for early detection of glaucoma. The lens contains an almost invisible optical pattern that moves in response to changes in intraocular pressure, ensuring continuous and accurate control of this indicator.

Additionally, Xpanceo demonstrated a lens with an integrated microdisplay providing augmented reality capabilities. This allows displaying useful information by overlaying it onto real-world objects, expanding the device's functionality.

The company plans to combine all these technologies into a single universal device and begin final testing in 2026.
