xAI launches Grok Imagine — an image and video generator

Elon Musk’s AI company xAI has officially launched Grok Imagine — a paid image and video generator available to all SuperGrok and Premium+ subscribers in the X iOS app.

Grok Imagine can turn text or visual prompts into 15-second videos with original voiceovers. The model also allows users to create images of celebrities.

Although Grok Imagine is still in its early stages and competes with giants like Google DeepMind, OpenAI, Runway, and Chinese companies, images and videos featuring people currently look unnatural — their skin resembles wax and sometimes borders on cartoonish.

The generator creates images in seconds based on text prompts and continues to automatically generate new images as you scroll. These images can be animated into stylized videos. The interface is simple and intuitive.
