WordPress.com has launched an AI-powered site builder that automatically creates websites based on user descriptions. There are 30 free requests available; the feature currently does not support e-commerce and is only available for new sites.
WordPress.com announced the launch of a new AI-powered website builder. The tool automatically creates websites based on descriptions provided by the user.
The new service is aimed at those who want to quickly create a website without experience in programming and design. Users simply need to describe their project idea—whether it’s a blog, portfolio site, small business project, or personal page. Artificial intelligence selects layouts, text, and images to form a ready-to-publish website.
The creation process involves several steps: the user visits the site, registers or logs into an existing account, enters a description, and then the system assembles the project. Afterward, the website can be further customized manually or through chat-based suggestions. Available editing options include layouts, images, fonts, and colors.
The builder currently does not support e-commerce projects or complex integrations, but developers promise to expand functionality in the future. At present, the feature is available only for new sites on WordPress.com.
Users are given 30 free AI requests—for example, to create additional pages, forms, or update images. Access to features expands after selecting a pricing plan.
Developers note that the new AI builder differs from other solutions on the market with its more flexible approach. The more detailed the description, the more accurately the system selects the website structure and content.
