From November 11 to 14, Lisbon, Portugal, hosted the largest technology event, Web Summit 2024, with participation from Astana Hub and IT Park Uzbekistan, who presented under the unified brand Central Asian Innovation Hubs. The hubs showcased 15 startups offering unique solutions in areas such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, fintech, digital banking, sustainability, and digital healthcare. Web Summit, which gathered more than 70,000 participants this year, provides a platform for startups, investors, and technology industry leaders to establish new connections and collaborations. For Central Asian Innovation Hubs, participation in Web Summit was an opportunity to present the evolving Central Asian ecosystem to an international audience and highlight its potential for attracting investment and establishing new connections.
At Web Summit, Kazakhstan presented a number of startups, including Extrum Technologies — a developer of high-quality solutions based on web technologies, blockchain, and other advanced technologies; ZebraEye — artificial intelligence-based software designed for diagnosing rare eye diseases; ProsperPay Kazakhstan — a provider of access to salary services in Central Asia; Hired Valley — a platform designed to connect university students with employment opportunities; Foqus — an AI-based platform providing applied analytics through specialized analysis of behavior in various industries; Beyim Tech — a project for creating digital products in the field of school education; and ESG Track — a monitoring platform tracking sustainability, employee status, and financial results.
Startups from Uzbekistan also attracted the attention of Web Summit participants. Among them were DATALAB LLC, offering solutions for data analysis, process optimization, and decision support; Sharh — an AI-based customer feedback platform; iWatt, providing tools for smart energy management and sustainable practices; Finco — digital banking solutions such as microloans and e-wallets for underserved markets; Online Nurse — a telemedicine platform for virtual consultations with doctors; Paylov — a secure gateway for online payments; IMAN Global — a startup operating on the principles of Islamic finance; and Cradle Vision Tech — AI and machine learning-based automation solutions.

Central Asian Innovation Hubs, a joint initiative of Astana Hub and IT Park Uzbekistan, was created to promote and support regional startups on the international stage. The collaboration, based on a memorandum signed during ICT WEEK UZBEKISTAN 2024, demonstrates the capabilities of the two tech parks, which have already participated under a unified brand at major events such as InMerge in Baku, Central Asia at Silicon Valley, and TechCrunch Disrupt 2024 in San Francisco.
