The Open Data Challenge 2025 was organized with the support of IT Park Uzbekistan, the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, and UzStat. More than 600 people registered for the event, of which 155 participants passed the selection process and were ready to develop innovative solutions using open data. Out of 65 teams, 22 advanced to the semi-finals, and eight teams reached the finals.
The jury included experts from organizations such as UzStat, GDG, Uzcard VC, and AloqaVentures, as well as representatives from the anti-corruption sector, who evaluated the projects based on several criteria:
— innovation
— practical value
— use of open data
— sustainability of solutions.
The victory went to the Restarted Ducks team, which developed a unique platform designed for analyzing tenders from the open data platform etender.uzex.uz. The platform uses advanced algorithms and data analysis methods to detect violations, ensure transparency, and identify suspicious activity in government procurement processes.
The second place was taken by the Jamila Assistant team—a startup using artificial intelligence for people with disabilities. With features such as voice control of messengers, internet search, and OS navigation, the project developers help users operate computers hands-free.
The third place went to Raccoons AI—a team that proposed a solution for real-time big data analysis using open data. Through the developed chatbot, users can get answers to questions related to the Constitution, business, and traffic.
