At a meeting with the participation of Minister of Healthcare Akmaral Alnazarova and Chairman of the Board of JSC "Kazakhtelecom" Bagdat Musin, digital solutions based on AI were discussed. The "AI Therapist" service (diagnostic accuracy of 80%, reduction of documentation by up to 40%), a telemedicine application for health monitoring, and smart video badges for the safety of medical workers are being implemented. An agreement was reached to expand pilot projects and digitalize the medical infrastructure of Kazakhstan.
A discussion on digital solutions using artificial intelligence took place at the Ministry of Healthcare, with the participation of the head of the ministry, Akmaral Alnazarova, and the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Kazakhtelecom", Bagdat Musin.
The presented projects addressed issues of enhancing the safety of medical personnel, expanding access to healthcare for rural populations, and reducing the workload on doctors.
One of the solutions was the "AI Therapist" service, currently being tested in several medical organizations in the Akmola region. The system analyzes the dialogue between a doctor and a patient in real time, forms a preliminary diagnosis with up to 80% accuracy, and allows reducing the time doctors spend on routine documentation by up to 40%.
Another innovative product is a mobile telemedicine application that provides remote health monitoring. With its help, Kazakhstani citizens will be able to measure blood pressure, pulse, body temperature, blood oxygen levels, and glucose. Special attention is given to the use of the service in rural areas where access to healthcare is limited.
A project on implementing smart video badges to enhance the safety of medical workers was also presented. In pilot mode, the technology is already being used in the capital in five ambulance teams, and its launch in Almaty is planned in the near future. The devices allow for video recording of calls and serve as a means of rapid response in emergency situations.
For his part, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Kazakhtelecom" Bagdat Musin announced the readiness to offer medical organizations a comprehensive security system, including options such as video surveillance with analytics, access control systems, panic buttons, and integration of video streams with the Operational Management Centers of the Police Departments.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to expand pilot projects and further digitalize Kazakhstan's healthcare infrastructure.
