A demo version of the digital som will be created in Kyrgyzstan

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan will create a demo version of a digital currency.

To test the prototype of the digital som in experimental mode, the National Bank received proposals from 12 interested companies. The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan will select a provider of blockchain-based CBDC digital services to create a digital demo version, simulate payments, and conduct initial testing. Selection criteria include the blockchain platform technology, innovation potential, reliability, security, payment speed, and integration with the existing financial infrastructure.
