Kazakhtelecom has begun deploying a DDoS attack protection system on the external perimeter of its backbone network. In the first phase, a unified detector is being installed in Astana, analyzing all traffic from external channels with a capacity exceeding 2 Tbit/s. The device redirects the anomalous portion of the traffic to a scrubber, using NetFlow telemetry to protect the entire network.
The DDoS attack detector will allow analysis of all external traffic and redirect its anomalous portion to a special "scrubber".
Nurlan Meirmanov, Chief Innovation Officer at Kazakhtelecom, announced on his Facebook page the start of deploying a DDoS attack protection system on the external perimeter of the company's backbone network.
In the first stage, a unified DDoS attack detector is being installed in Astana, with the ability to analyze traffic on all external "Kazakhtelecom Internet" channels, the total capacity of which exceeds 2 Tbit/s.
The detector's performance will allow analysis of all flow and protection against DDoS attacks across the entire external perimeter of the data transmission backbone network, using netflow telemetry.
