Kazakhstan has introduced a new visa for modern nomads, the Neo Nomad visa

This visa is intended for foreign tourists who combine work and leisure, traveling and working remotely. The new visa regime takes into account international experience from more than 50 countries that have successfully implemented similar programs.

To obtain the Neo Nomad visa, a foreign citizen must demonstrate a stable income of at least $3000 from sources outside Kazakhstan. Additionally, medical insurance and a certificate of no criminal record will be required. The visa is aimed at tourists working remotely in various fields, from programming, marketing, and finance to consulting, design, and e-commerce.

Foreign tourists will be able to stay in Kazakhstan for up to one year while remaining employed by their overseas companies. This will not only allow them to immerse themselves in the culture and life of the country but also bring economic benefits to Kazakhstan. It is expected that the economic impact of introducing the visa will be around 3.6 billion tenge per year if 500 people obtain it. Foreigners who use the Neo Nomad visa will reside and spend money in Kazakhstan without taking up jobs in the domestic labor market.
