The AI Academy for the development of artificial intelligence in Azerbaijan has opened in Baku.

An official opening ceremony for the AI Academy, a new center for training specialists in the field of artificial intelligence, took place in Baku. The event was held with the participation of ministers of digital development and science, teachers, and industry experts.

The Academy was established with the support of AZCON Holding as part of the "Artificial Intelligence Strategy of Azerbaijan for 2025-2028." The educational programs meet international standards, and the instructors are experts with experience working at leading world universities.

As part of the opening, a prototype of a large language model was presented, developed using 10 billion tokens and 1.2 million synthetic data points. All educational programs will be fully scholarship-based, and students will have the opportunity to participate in research projects and international collaborations.

The official goal of the AI Academy is to train highly qualified specialists, develop the national AI ecosystem, and accelerate the country's digital transformation.
