An Astana Hub meeting took place between the park’s director, Magzhan Madiev, and the Chairman of the Board of Presight, Thomas Promotedham. The parties discussed strategic partnership in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and joint projects.
Presight, a subsidiary of G42 and a leading global player in big data and AI analytics, intends to actively support Kazakhstan’s digital development. One of the key areas will be the creation of a situational center at the alem.ai facility, which will serve as the intelligent core for managing urban infrastructure. The new center will become a key platform for monitoring, analyzing, and managing urban processes using advanced AI solutions as part of the Smart City project.
The situational center will use innovative artificial intelligence algorithms, including predictive traffic analytics, automatic incident detection, facial and vehicle recognition, and anomalous behavior detection. Integrating AI solutions will significantly improve the efficiency of city services, reduce response times to incidents, and optimize infrastructure operations.
The situational center will integrate 22,000 sensors and IoT devices across the city, increasing the coverage area by 67%. AI algorithms will ensure automatic data processing, analyzing pedestrian and vehicle movements, recording violations, and transmitting data to city services. Additionally, the center will be integrated with the PSIM platform, enabling unified management of the city’s security system, coordination of emergency services’ actions, and prediction of potential threats.
As part of the alem.ai initiative, Presight and Astana Hub will continue their cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence and data analytics, as well as the development of AI talent. The company plans to implement AI solutions for the public and private sectors, as well as support startups working with big data.
