A major esports tournament among students took place in Astana.

Young esports athletes competed in the mobile discipline Honor of Kings.

In mid-April 2024, the Qazaq CyberSport Federation announced the start of participant registration for the Kazakhstan University Challengers Cup in the Honor of Kings discipline. Honor of Kings is a multiplayer online battle arena developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by its parent company Tencent Games for iOS and Android mobile platforms in 2015. Over the years, Honor of Kings has become one of the most popular mobile disciplines in the world, remaining so to this day: hundreds of millions of people around the world play it daily.
