The final of the Republican School Olympiad in Sports Programming Documentolog x CPFED Olymp took place in Astana

On April 27, the final stage of the Republican Olympiad in competitive programming, Documentolog x CPFED Olymp, concluded at Astana IT University. The event featured 77 high school students from grades 9 to 11 from across the country who had passed the preliminary selection. The final round was characterized by an atmosphere of concentration and competitive spirit. Participants demonstrated deep knowledge, excellent preparation, and a strong drive to win.

The championship was organized by the Federation of Competitive Programming of Kazakhstan with the support of the project's main partner, Documentolog.

Olympiad participants were divided into two divisions: the first for students of specialized schools, and the second for students of general education schools. This approach allows schoolchildren with different levels of preparation to test their skills in competitive programming.

Competitive programming is an intellectual sport involving the solution of algorithmic problems, requiring the implementation of solutions in one of the programming languages.

To encourage and support the participants, medals and monetary certificates were awarded. The total prize fund of the Olympiad amounted to 3,000,000 tenge.

Holding such competitions among schoolchildren plays an important role in popularizing computer science and programming, contributes to the early identification of talents, and helps build a solid academic foundation for admission to leading universities. The implementation of such initiatives helps strengthen Kazakhstan's status as a promising IT hub at both the regional and international levels.

The Federation of Competitive Programming is the driving force behind competitive programming in Kazakhstan. Its goal is to popularize and develop competitive programming among the population, as well as to improve the results of Kazakhstani participants in competitions. Its mission is to contribute to the development of human capital in Kazakhstan and the world through competitive programming.
