The Robotek Grand Tournament will take place in Astana.

On May 2-3, 2024, in Astana, Robotek plans to host the international Robotek Grand Tournament, which has become one of the main events in domestic robotics over the past few years. The Robotek Grand Tournament is held with the support of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn."

Participants will include winners of regional Robotek Grand Tournament competitions from all 20 regions. More than 300 schoolchildren in several age groups from 9 to 17 years old will compete in seven categories: Robotek, "Mergen," "Inverse Line Race," "Flag Delivery," "Robot Courier," and "Robot Sorter." Regulations for each category can be found on the website rgt.robotek.kz.

This year, the Robotek Grand Tournament is expanding to an international level for the first time. Successful teams of young roboticists from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan have already confirmed their participation in the championship.

It is planned that during the Robotek Grand Tournament, as part of the global TurkTime program, a Memorandum of Cooperation between robotics schools of Turkic-speaking countries will be signed. In November 2023, at the World Robot Olympiad in Panama, Robotek already established strategic partnerships with the well-known U.S.-based educational services center Chasewood Learning, No. 19 Shintai Middle School from Hebei, China, and the Azerbaijani engineering academy of robotics AREA.

Winners and prize winners in each category will receive valuable gifts and diplomas. Special awards will also be prepared for categories such as the best engineering solution, the best rural team, and the best international team.

One of the championship prize winners will receive a scholarship to study at the School of Information Technologies and Engineering of the Kazakh-British Technical University.

A large-scale PR and media support campaign for the championship is planned, and a press center for the Robotek Grand Tournament will be opened.

Robotek is a well-known and successful Kazakhstani company in the field of STEM education and robotics. In November 2023, it brought pride to the country with a triumphant achievement at the World Robot Olympiad in Panama, when two teams simultaneously reached the podium. Thanks to Robotek, the national team of Kazakhstan finished second in the overall medal standings for the first time, behind only the Malaysian team.
