The StrategEast State and IT Eurasian Forum will take place in Almaty

Annually, the StrategEast State and IT Eurasian Forum takes place once a year in one of the cities of Eurasia. This year, Kazakhstan is hosting the event for the first time. The forum will take place on November 7-8 in Almaty.

The Eurasian StrategEast Forum brings together representatives of global and local technology companies, governments, international financial institutions, and development agencies. This year, guests and speakers of the forum include representatives of Amazon Web Services, Google, and Microsoft, as well as government officials and representatives of the governments and state structures of the United States, the European Union, Eurasian states, and countries of the Persian Gulf.

Among the main goals of the forum this year:

— to identify common opportunities and challenges for the development of the IT industry in Eurasian countries

— to propose practical solutions to existing problems in the areas of legislation, taxation, and intellectual property rights

— to attract international IT companies and venture capital funds to the region

— to identify best practices regarding the relationship between the state and the IT industry in Eurasia.
