The Digital Wave conference is taking place in Almaty

On September 5, one of the most important annual events for digital specialists in the advertising and media industry, the Digital Wave conference, is taking place in the southern capital of Kazakhstan.

The conference will feature presentations and panel discussions on a wide range of topics — from the latest news and case studies from leading international platforms to influencer marketing and AR capabilities, from recent changes in strategic approaches to tactical optimizations based on real-world cases, from creativity to programmatic and omnichannel marketing.

This year, as is traditional, Digital Wave will host a masterclass for students based on a real-world brief. Future marketers from the Kazakhstan-German University, Turan University, Narxoz University, and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will participate. Divided into two teams, they will have to develop a digital strategy throughout the day, and at the end of the event, each team will present its strategy on stage in front of the conference participants and the jury. Masterclass participants will receive certificates and merchandise from Forte. The winning team will earn the opportunity to intern at the international communications group Okori Group.

To conclude the official part of the conference, the best digital specialist of the year — Digital Jedi 2024 — will be announced. The jury, composed of experienced professionals, will determine the winner based on outstanding achievements in one of the following categories:

— Implementation of innovations within a company: new products, technologies, or business directions

— Execution of significant and beneficial changes/innovations in the digital market

— Development of wow-case studies in advertising campaigns, considering complexity and innovation

— Substantial and measurable improvement in the performance of an agency/brand/department, evaluated by key success indicators such as profit growth and client acquisition.

This year, Digital Wave will be held for the third time at the Zhas Sahna Theater in Almaty, located at 117 Abay Avenue.
