In Almaty, the main trends in AI development were highlighted during a tech meetup. These include sustainable development technologies, the democratization of generative AI, as well as industrial cloud platforms and intelligent applications. With the support of one of the leaders of Kazakhstan's banking system, Bank CenterCredit, software solutions based on AI were presented at the event, helping businessmen analyze data in the retail sector and automate content creation for customer communication. The meetup was organized by Awara IT Qazaqstan and Almaty IT Community Club.

The "AI in Digital Transformation" meetup attracted the attention of more than 200 specialists from the IT sector and business, including the financial and manufacturing sectors, as well as retail. During the main program and subsequent networking session, strategies for focusing on current trends that help navigate complex modern conditions were discussed. Technologies are developing rapidly, the volume of information is increasing exponentially, and opportunities are expanding along with threats. In this situation, it is necessary to choose one of three focus areas for the next 36 months: security, development, or people.

Also presented at the event was the AI-based program Smart Store Analytics2. Narigis Omarova, an expert in innovative solutions at Awara IT Qazaqstan, explained that the program helps businessmen in the retail sector with analytics and contributes to building stronger relationships with customers. She also noted that by using this AI and machine learning-based program, retailers will be able to generate useful information based on data obtained from the physical space of their stores. For example, entrepreneurs can use heat maps and sales data to offer necessary products at the right price and in the right place.

In addition to trends in AI development and questions about transforming retail with AI, experts also discussed topics such as creating digital avatars, developing sovereign AI, and issues related to the legal regulation of artificial intelligence.
