According to the data obtained, the venture market in Central Asia continues to grow. The total volume of venture deals in the region in 2024 reached $95 million, which is 7% higher than in 2023.
The volume of venture investments in Kyrgyzstan in 2024 reached $1.7 million, reflecting moderate growth. Over the past three years, the compound annual growth rate was 19%. All registered deals were at the Pre-seed stage, indicating an early phase of market development.
The average investment check size was $51,000, with a median of $15,000. Excluding the single deal worth over $500,000, the average drops to $26,000. Most deals—81%—were under $50,000. The main financing instruments were SAFE agreements, accounting for 45%, and venture debt, at 32%.
In 2024, the EdTech sector attracted the largest share of investments, accounting for more than half of all investments. However, analysts emphasize that due to the small size of the market, individual large deals can significantly impact overall figures.
Also in 2024, a record number of Kyrgyz startups were accepted into leading global accelerators. According to experts, this indicates growing interest in the country's startup ecosystem and may attract new investors.
