Uzbekistan is strengthening IT cooperation with leading American companies

As part of the visit to the United States, the IT Park Uzbekistan delegation, led by Director of Startup and Investment Development Elyor Maksudov, held meetings with leading companies and representatives of the Uzbek diaspora. Key partnerships include Cohere AI, Armanino, Saber Interactive, PomPom Fairy, and CosmicBrain AI. Discussions covered the implementation and localization of artificial intelligence technologies, development of IT exports, opening of representative offices and research centers in Tashkent, and strengthening ties with compatriots working in U.S. technology companies.

A highlight of the visit was the Tech Ambassadors & Compatriots Meet-up event held at the Silkroad Innovation Hub. During this informal gathering, the strategic direction for promoting Uzbekistan as a regional hub for digital technologies was discussed. Agreements reached during the event aim to accelerate the country’s integration into the global innovation ecosystem and expand the export potential of IT services.

Special emphasis was placed on cooperation with Cohere AI: plans were discussed for localizing solutions on national GPUs and in Uzbekistan’s data centers, implementing the “1 million Uzbek AI prompters” initiative, digitalizing government services by 2030, and creating a national Large Language Model for the Uzbek language based on Cohere’s experience. The company expressed willingness to participate in educational programs and support the organization of ICT Week Uzbekistan 2025
