Uzbekistan will expand funding for AI startups and future technologies

The President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on additional measures to support projects based on artificial intelligence technologies. The document aims to expand funding for startups and priority initiatives in the social sphere and the economy.

In 2026-2027, $100 million will be allocated from the Reconstruction and Development Fund. Half of the amount, $50 million, will go towards implementing AI technologies in the activities of state bodies, and the other half will be directed to venture funds "Fund of Funds" and IT Park Ventures to support startups in this field.

The Coordination Commission for the implementation of the "Digital Uzbekistan — 2030" strategy will be responsible for the distribution of funds.
