The two-day E-commerce Central Asia Expo 2025 has kicked off in Tashkent, bringing together more than 150 companies from the region. Sevara Khidayatova, a representative of IT Park Uzbekistan, presented expanded tax incentive opportunities for the entire digital business ecosystem.
E-commerce Central Asia Expo is the largest regional platform that brings together representatives of marketplaces and retail, FinTech companies and payment systems, logistics operators, venture funds, and startups.
Special attention was given to three strategic areas.
1. The tax incentive program has been expanded. It now covers logistics operators in e-commerce, payment systems, marketplaces, and digital marketing companies. These entities benefit from exemptions from corporate income tax for a period of three to seven years, a simplified taxation system, and customs preferences for importing equipment.
2. Special conditions have been created for international companies to establish offices of service companies: compensation of up to 50% of office rental costs for technical support centers, reimbursement of 30% of expenses for salaries of content moderation staff, and tax holidays for call centers during their first two years of operation. The state also supports workforce development through specialized courses, internship programs, and language training.
3. Uzbekistan is an ideal location for regional headquarters of e-commerce companies. This is made possible by its favorable geographic position in the center of the region with a population of 80 million, a well-developed logistics infrastructure, and a growing domestic market. Such companies benefit from an expedited registration process, support in obtaining licenses, and a special visa program.
E-commerce Central Asia Expo 2025 confirms Uzbekistan's growing role as a center of digital transformation in the region. Expanding IT Park Uzbekistan's incentive programs to the entire digital business ecosystem creates unique opportunities for companies looking to scale their operations in Central Asia.
