On October 29, a meeting took place at IT Park Uzbekistan between the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the center's management, during which the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the field of information technology were discussed.
The parties agreed to establish a joint IT company in Serbia to implement technological projects, including the launch of the "Palm ID" system. Additionally, a venture fund with a volume of approximately $1 million is planned to support startups from Uzbekistan and Serbia: Uzbek projects will be able to enter the European market, while Serbian ones will gain access to the Central Asian market.
The cooperation also includes the exchange of experience in IT outsourcing and KPO services, educational and acceleration programs, as well as strengthening the export potential of companies. The Uzbek side is ready to invest in server infrastructure and attract engineers to support projects in Serbia, while the Serbian side will facilitate the promotion of Uzbek technologies in the European market.
Experts note that the initiative strengthens international technological partnership, creates opportunities for scaling startups, and contributes to the development of the venture ecosystem in both countries.
