Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan, led by General Director Abdulkhad Kuchkarov, held negotiations with a delegation from China, organized with the support of Khan Tengri Innovation Hub from Hefei city, Anhui province. The Chinese side was led by Zhang Liye, Vice President of Grand Union of Innovation (GUi).
During the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on cooperation and support for Chinese companies interested in entering the Central Asian market. GUi is a large innovation ecosystem established in 2022 in Hefei, uniting more than 6,000 technology companies and 60,000 specialists, as well as managing a network of 13 international innovation centers. The organization focuses on the development of high-tech sectors, including information technology, biomedicine, new energy sources, and smart manufacturing solutions.
As part of the negotiations, representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan presented the main areas of the technopark's activities, current initiatives, and existing cooperation projects with Chinese partners. Special attention was given to the development of Uzbekistan's IT ecosystem, its export potential, educational programs, and business support tools. The Chinese delegation, in turn, shared information about GUi's activities, opportunities in Hefei city, and companies within the group. The parties discussed prospects for interaction in the fields of digitalization of education, development of data centers, and creation of R&D research centers.
Representatives of GUi noted that they actively help technology companies enter foreign markets and consider Uzbekistan a promising direction for implementing joint technology projects. As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to strengthen cooperation and facilitate the expansion of Chinese companies into the Central Asian market.
IT Park Uzbekistan expressed readiness to support such projects by providing infrastructure, consultations, and assistance within existing programs. Partnership with one of China's largest innovation ecosystems opens up new opportunities for attracting technology companies, implementing joint R&D initiatives, and expanding the international network of partners. According to the participants, this will contribute to accelerating the development of Uzbekistan's IT market, attracting new investments, and strengthening the country's position as a regional hub for technology and innovation.
