Uzbekistan and Qatar are expanding cooperation in the field of venture investments

As part of ICT Week Uzbekistan 2025 in Tashkent, a meeting took place between Abdulkhokim Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, and a delegation from Qatar, which included representatives of leading venture funds, accelerators, and business angels.

On the Qatari side, the participants included Atypical Ventures, Alchemist Qatar, Rasmal Ventures, Golden Gate Ventures, Doha Tech Angels, and the European Business Angels Network.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of Uzbekistan's startup ecosystem, opportunities for joint investments, the launch of acceleration programs, and the involvement of business angels in supporting innovative projects.

One of the key areas of cooperation was the initiative to establish a Business Angel School in Uzbekistan in collaboration with Doha Tech Angels—an educational program aimed at training and developing angel investors.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties expressed interest in strengthening long-term partnership, exchanging experience, and implementing joint investment initiatives.
