American company ElevenLabs has entered into partnership agreements with actors Michael Caine and Matthew McConaughey to use their voices in its artificial intelligence-based products.
As part of the collaboration, ElevenLabs has obtained permission to create digital copies of the celebrities' voices, which will be used to generate audio content. Michael Caine, who is 92 years old, has officially consented to the use of his voice for AI projects. Matthew McConaughey, an investor in ElevenLabs, plans to use the technology to release a Spanish-language version of his personal audio digest.
At the same time, the company announced the launch of the Iconic Voice Marketplace—a platform that will allow brands, studios, and content creators to legally license synthesized versions of famous voices. The Marketplace is being created as a "showcase" of voices from iconic actors, musicians, writers, and historical figures. Among the names featured are Maya Angelou, Liza Minnelli, Alan Turing, and others.
ElevenLabs was founded in 2022 and specializes in speech generation, dubbing, and translation using AI. Over the past few years, it has become one of the leaders in speech synthesis, and its technologies are used in media, film, game development, and education.
