Tajikistan has presented a resolution on artificial intelligence at the UN

A discussion was held at the United Nations headquarters in New York, initiated by the Republic of Tajikistan, during which a resolution on artificial intelligence was presented. The initiative was supported by the permanent representatives of several countries, who emphasized its significance for global technological development.

The Tajik delegation at the event was led by Sherali Kabir, Minister of Industry and New Technologies, Khurshid Mirzo, Director of the Agency for Innovations and Digital Technologies under the President, Jonibek Hikmat, Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the UN, and Azizjon Azimi, Chairman of the AI Council under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies.

Key elements of the resolution include:

— horizontal self-regulation of AI in Central Asia as a mechanism to support AI startups
— establishment of a Regional Artificial Intelligence Center
— a unified platform to integrate the AI compute network, develop joint projects for data exchange and scientific research and development
— creation of a common space for AI self-regulation.

Tajikistan continues to strengthen international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence, innovations, and digital technologies, advocating for effective and safe development of the industry in the region and worldwide.
