Eight students from universities in Uzbekistan have been invited to participate in the Seeds tour educational trip to Dubai during the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP-28. The trip included representatives of the Techno Mind team, who won the regional Tech4Good competition held in Doha, Qatar, and Dubai. The Techno Mind team consists of students from Tashkent University of Information Technologies, Inha University in Tashkent, Amity University, Kimia International University, and the New Uzbekistan University.
A key event of the tour was the Talent & Green Summit, held on December 5th, which brought together 36 participants of the Seeds for the Future 2.0 educational program from 22 countries. Alongside talented young people, the summit featured scientists from international organizations, professors from educational institutions, and Huawei experts.
Team leader of Techno Mind, Nodira Otabekova, a student at Inha University in Tashkent, presented the project Aquatibia at the summit. The project was recognized as the best idea in the Tech4Good competition. Aquatibia aims to achieve zero waste levels and contribute to key sustainable development goals, such as ending hunger and ensuring clean water and sanitation. The implementation of the project can have a significant impact on the environment, agriculture, soil quality, and living conditions in regions by simultaneously addressing two major issues: the reuse of biological waste and water filtration for irrigation to remove salts and heavy metals.
