Streaming platform Allplay is transitioning to Yandex Uzbekistan

Yandex Uzbekistan, through its subsidiary Plus Entertainment Services Holding Ltd, acquired stakes in Allmedia Safe Service and Anyway, companies that own the popular streaming service Allplay. The deal was approved by the Antimonopoly Committee of Uzbekistan, with the important condition that Allplay continues to operate as an independent service and retains its brand.

Allplay will continue to operate under its own name, and an update to the interface and services is planned for the near future. Users will not notice any changes in the usual operation of the service.

In the future, Allplay will become part of the Yandex Plus subscription. This will allow users to access not only movies and TV series but also music, books, sports broadcasts, as well as bonuses within the Yandex ecosystem, such as cashback and delivery via the Yandex Go service.

The Antimonopoly Committee noted that Yandex must comply with competition rules and refrain from taking discriminatory steps against other market participants, so that platforms and services of other companies can develop freely.

Allplay remains one of the largest streaming services in Uzbekistan, and Yandex's acquisition, according to experts, will allow the platform to develop faster while maintaining the functionality and content quality familiar to users.
