Nurbek Enseyev, an engineer and inventor from Kazakhstan, along with his startup team Sezual, became laureates of the UN award for developing technologies within the framework of the "Inclusive City Sezual" solution. The award ceremony took place on April 17 in Chile across eight categories corresponding to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Scientists and inventors from more than 182 UN member states participated in the awarding.
Nurbek Enseyev is one of the leaders of the nonprofit organization Sezual. His inventions, including a revolutionary, first-of-its-kind biolocator for the visually impaired and a mechanical exoskeleton, provide alternative vision to 1,000 people in need. The development of these inventions is supported by the World Bank, officially recognized by the UN, and nominated for the Nobel Prize.
Sezual technologies will be implemented in schools, libraries, banks, and specialized organizations in the United States. Some developers have already relocated to the US to work out all details regarding the implementation and adaptation of technologies with American specialized organizations. The technology transfer is scheduled for autumn 2024. Representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Washington and the US State Department will also provide support to the Sezual team in transporting the technologies.
