Schoolgirls from Kazakhstan created the Qyzbolsyn app

In Almaty, an innovative app called Qyzbolsyn has been created, becoming a true support for Kazakhstani girls. The app addresses the lack of sexual education and helps girls find support and safety. Qyzbolsyn has united over 900 participants, attracted 2,000,000 tenge in investments, and became a semifinalist in the international Technovation competition among 3,200 projects.

The problem of insufficient sexual education among Kazakhstani girls became the starting point for creating Qyzbolsyn, an innovative mobile app that aims to become a "pocket older sister" for every girl.

The mission of the project is to help girls achieve personal growth and ensure their safety through information and education.

The Qyzbolsyn app combines several features:

— articles and podcasts on topics such as safety, health, relationships, and self-development. Everything a modern girl should know about herself, her body, and her safety is now in one place. All content undergoes strict fact-checking and is available in three languages, including Kazakh, making the platform convenient for a wide audience.

— a forum where girls can ask personal questions and find support in a safe environment. Moderation and the inability to send personal messages ensure protection from malicious actors.

— an interactive AI bot, a "bot-friend" named Say, which offers advice, shares useful articles, and supports girls by sending kind affirmations. Interactions with the bot will not resemble ChatGPT, as they will mimic a real conversation between two peers.

In the future, the creators plan to fully adapt the AI bot and the app to the Kazakh language and also add gamification elements.
