The Tabys app, launched by the DIFC in 2020, has entered into a partnership with Teniz Capital Brokerage. Users will now be able to buy shares and bonds on AIX, as well as gain access to international markets. The app is used by over 21,000 people, and trading volume since 2020 has reached $52.6 million. The DIFC will continue to oversee the project, and no additional registration procedures are required for clients.
The Tabys mobile application provides beginner retail investors with access to a specific range of assets traded on the Astana International Exchange (AIX), including exchange-traded notes and bond issues from private companies, as well as participation in IPOs and SPOs of national companies. Since March 2025, users can purchase investment gold coins issued by the National Bank of Kazakhstan through Tabys. Tabys was developed and launched by AIX in 2020 as a social project aimed at promoting financial literacy.
Meanwhile, interest from retail investors extends far beyond the tools available in Tabys. The company has attracted a private partner, Teniz Capital Brokerage, which will enable the application to offer access to stocks and bonds listed on AIX, international markets, and other financial instruments. Teniz Capital Brokerage is a unit of JSC Teniz Capital Investment Banking, registered with the International Financial Center (IFC).
The partner will provide professional market and securities analytics within the application, enhancing its value for investors.
More than 21,000 Kazakhstani residents actively use the Tabys application. Trading volume through the app has reached $52.6 million since 2020.
Following the transaction, the IFC will retain control over the project. Client accounts, as before, will remain held at the Central Securities Depository of AIX. Yernar Zhanadil, Chairman of the Board of the IFC Administration, will join the Board of Directors of Tabys Ltd.
Existing Tabys users will not need to undergo additional registration/re-registration procedures; however, providing additional information may be required in the future in accordance with the broker’s rules.
Zharas Musabekov, CEO of Tabys Ltd.
This partnership marks a new stage in the development of Tabys, expanding opportunities for Kazakhstani investors. They will be able to invest in a wider range of instruments while remaining within a familiar ecosystem. This will also strengthen the educational component, facilitating the practical application of knowledge and the creation of diversified investment portfolios.
Erlan Soltanov, Managing Director of Teniz Capital Brokerage
Partnership with Tabys is a logical step in the development of digital investment solutions in Kazakhstan. The company sees significant potential in offering clients innovative tools that enable effective capital management in both local and international markets.
