Representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry presented the Concept for the Development of Artificial Intelligence.
The speakers discussed the strategic approach to implementing artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan, the activities of the Artificial Intelligence Committee, and the construction of technological infrastructure for AI development.
To coordinate and effectively implement state policy supporting the development of artificial intelligence, the Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Development Committee was established under the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry (MDAI).
Additionally, the Artificial Intelligence Concept was presented. Its main goal is to create an AI ecosystem, with a focus on the widespread implementation of AI technologies in economic sectors and public administration.
Within the framework of infrastructure development, systemic measures include: deploying a supercomputer in Kazakhstan, building data centers in partnership with international partners, creating a national AI platform, and developing fiber-optic communication lines (FOCL).
In terms of human capital development, a comprehensive innovative infrastructure is being created to support the AI ecosystem.
For instance, programming schools are planned to be launched nationwide using a peer-to-peer methodology based on practical learning through project implementation without the involvement of teachers. This fosters student interaction and a research-oriented approach.
Collaboration with international companies and institutions to establish research centers in the country will enable AI scientists to work with leading global partners.
By 2029, the target is set at no fewer than 25 implemented AI products in economic sectors annually.
