The first trains in Kazakhstan will receive internet from Starlink already this year.

By the end of 2025, satellite internet from Starlink is planned to be introduced on some passenger trains in Kazakhstan.
Passengers will have access to a basic package that allows free use of messengers such as WhatsApp. For accessing more "heavy" content, such as video streaming, paid tariffs are provided. Currently, the company is considering various pricing options — from hourly rates to a package covering the entire journey.
A pilot project has already been implemented on the Burabay Express train, where Starlink internet successfully passed testing. In October, testing of the technology will begin on standard train sets on the routes "Aktobe – Almaty" and "Kyzylorda – Semey".
Thus, by the end of next year, some trains in Kazakhstan will be able to offer passengers stable internet access during their journeys.
