Pavel Durov launches the decentralized AI network Cocoon on the TON blockchain

Telegram founder Pavel Durov announced the launch of a new decentralized computing network for artificial intelligence — Cocoon. The network is built on the blockchain of The Open Network and aims to combine blockchain, AI, and distributed computing technologies.

Cocoon will allow users to run AI tasks while preserving data privacy. GPU owners will be able to provide their computing power to the network and receive rewards in Toncoin tokens, while developers will be able to pay for AI task processing in TON.

The announcement was made on October 29, 2025, at the Blockchain Life 2025 conference in Dubai. According to Durov, the network launch is scheduled for November 2025.

The main goal of the project is to create an alternative to centralized AI services, where data and computations are controlled by large corporations, providing users and developers with greater privacy, control, and new earning opportunities.
