Astana Hub announces the start of applications from private IT schools to participate in the Tech Orda program — an initiative aimed at developing IT education and training in-demand specialists.
Tech Orda is implemented with the support of the Center for Strategic Initiatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan and provides for partial or full coverage of tuition costs — up to 500,000 tenge per student.
The selection mechanism for IT schools and distribution of vouchers and grants includes three stages. First, accreditation of private IT schools is conducted by an independent commission with industry representatives. Next, an algorithm determines the number of vouchers for each course, taking into account graduate employment rates, with special advantages given to regional schools. Additionally, for the first time, an additional adjustment coefficient is introduced for distributing conditional quotas in priority learning areas — such as artificial intelligence, product management, and Agile. In the final stage, schools select students for free training according to the received vouchers. A competition for those wishing to learn IT skills will be announced in July.
Graduate outcomes confirm the program's demand in the labor market. 88% of graduates are successfully employed, with an average income of around 500,000 tenge. Today, they work at leading companies in Kazakhstan, such as Kaspi.kz, Halyk Bank, KPMG, Ernst & Young, Freedom Finance, Tengizchevroil, KazMunayGas, Air Astana, and others.
Application deadline: May 29, 2025.
