Telecom operators have already installed more than 800 5G base stations in Kazakhstan

As of now, more than 800 5G base stations have been installed by telecom operators in Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, and regional centers.

To accelerate the implementation of the technology, it is necessary to remove a number of regulatory barriers that affect the timelines for launching communication stations. This includes simplifying equipment installation procedures, aligning sanitary regulations with international standards, and timely provision of land plots.

The work on implementing the 5G network in all cities of republican significance and regional centers should be completed by the end of 2025.
