OpenAI has introduced its own browser, Atlas — an intelligent agent that goes beyond traditional search and browsing. Atlas can book tables, fill out spreadsheets and forms, assemble shopping carts in online stores, and perform other routine tasks directly within the browser.
One of Atlas's key advantages is its "memory": it remembers not only entered data but also the context of visited pages. For example, a user can reopen all job listings they viewed six months ago or quickly restore a needed website by request.
The browser can also briefly summarize the content of an open website or automatically fill in the required fields on a page.
Atlas is already available to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Business users on macOS. Versions for Windows, iOS, and Android will be released later.
