OpenAI is developing PhD-level AI agents and plans to sell them for $20,000 per month

OpenAI is preparing to launch advanced AI agents capable of performing complex tasks at the level of PhD holders. The company is considering implementing a new pricing model under which access to such agents would cost $20,000 per month.

These AI agents will be able to operate more autonomously, make decisions, and learn without constant user intervention. In addition to the premium tier, OpenAI is also developing other options for professionals: specialized agents for high-paid specialists may cost around $2,000 per month, while versions aimed at software developers will cost $10,000 per month.

Such offerings will complement existing ChatGPT pricing tiers, which include free access, the Plus subscription at $20 per month, and the Pro version at $200. The new class of AI agents, as envisioned by OpenAI, will significantly expand the capabilities of businesses and the professional community by providing access to more powerful and adaptive artificial intelligence.
