Auction for 5G frequencies has been announced.

The starting price of one lot exceeds 1.7 billion tenge.

The auction involves the allocation of frequency bands for the deployment and development of fifth-generation 5G/IMT mobile communications. 

The starting price of one lot is 1,761,225,000 tenge, and bidding will begin on December 20, 2022, at 10:00.

To ensure competitive conditions, approximately 100 companies will be able to participate in the auction. According to the terms of the two lots, the buyer must have an extensive backbone telecommunications or mobile network covering at least six regions, cities of republican significance, and the capital.

Currently, 5G technology in Kazakhstan is operating in pilot mode and has been deployed locally in several cities.

Applications for participation are accepted until the start of the bidding.
