Nvidia, the global leader in graphics processing units and artificial intelligence, has announced plans to build a new research and development campus in the city of Kiryat Tivon in northern Israel. This project will become one of the company's largest technology facilities outside the United States and promises to significantly boost technological activity in the region.
The new campus will occupy approximately 160,000 square meters and is expected to create around 10,000 jobs, more than doubling Nvidia's workforce in Israel. Construction is planned to begin in 2027 and be completed by 2031.
The complex will be designed in the architectural style of Nvidia's headquarters in California and will include not only office and research spaces but also parks, cafeterias, and a visitor center. It will become the company's eighth R&D center in Israel, where over 5,000 engineers currently work in several cities, including Yokneam, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Be'er Sheva.
Nvidia's CEO and founder, Jensen Huang, emphasized that the new campus will serve as a place where experts can collaborate to develop future technologies in the field of artificial intelligence and strengthen partnerships with local startups and research centers.
For the local region, this project is viewed as a strategic development of the technological ecosystem in the north of the country, where most high-tech companies have previously been concentrated in central cities such as Tel Aviv. The establishment of the campus is expected to attract further infrastructure development, small business growth, and educational initiatives.
Experts note that Nvidia's investment underscores Israel's growing importance as a key global hub for developing high-tech solutions, particularly in the fields of AI and computing platforms.
