At Mining Day, 1 billion tenge was raffled off among developers

On December 26, a large-scale technology marathon, Mining Day, took place in Karaganda. The goal of the event is to develop and implement modern solutions at industrial enterprises in the region. Companies that participated in the marathon were able to present their projects and gain the opportunity to win a grant of up to 320 million tenge for their case.

The organizer is the Autonomous Cluster Foundation "Park of Innovative Technologies," operating under the brand Tech Garden, with the support of the IT-hub "Terricon Valley."
A total of 35 teams participated in Mining Day, each presenting their solution to one of eight tasks.

Among the proposed cases:

— reduction of harmful emissions from explosives, optimization of the grinding process using AI technologies

— automated control and accounting of occupational health and safety.

The Karaganda team of developers from A-Business Kazakhstan LLP presented a smart warehouse system that allows for the accounting of the enterprise's material and technical resources. The team from Prometeo Chain System KZ Ltd from Astana shared details about their high-precision navigation project.

After the presentations, the jury members selected the best projects and invited the teams to a technology council to discuss implementation issues. The selected projects:

— implementation of a centralized access control and management system - TargetAI Limited, Advanced Business Technologies LLP

— development and implementation of a software and hardware complex for point and zone positioning and personnel safety at the processing plant container site — AG TECH LLP, Cleverest Technologies LLP, Di ART LLP

— optimization of the grinding process using Artificial Intelligence technologies at the processing plant - IntelliSense-LAB Technological Development Center LLP, Nordal LLP

— reduction of harmful emissions from explosives and decreasing the radius of dispersion of individual pieces of rock mass — Mining Research Group LLP, East Kazakhstan Regional Technopark "Altai" LLP

— implementation of a scientific-applied method of digital technology to determine the level of deposits, the depth of the tailings pond, and the level of the clarified layer — R&D Center "Kazakhstan Engineering" LLP, East Kazakhstan Regional Technopark "Altai" LLP.

As a result of the council, the customers will choose the companies with which they will sign contracts for further execution.
Tech Garden conducts such marathons monthly. In total, during the marathons held in Kazakhstan, 185 projects have been funded with a total amount of 16.3 billion tenge.
