The Ministry of ICT of Uzbekistan and MasterCard have signed a memorandum of cooperation.

On June 20, Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Information Technologies, Rustam Karimdzhanov, Deputy Minister of Education, and Farhod Ibragimov, Director of IT Park, held a meeting with Sami Lahoud, Vice President of MasterCard.

During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas of cooperation, particularly in the field of developing small and medium-sized businesses, as well as creating partnership platforms. Sherzod Shermatov stated that MasterCard makes a significant contribution to the development of global e-commerce.

During the meeting, the parties agreed on mutual development of the potential of small and medium-sized businesses, launching special educational platforms in the Uzbek language, and conducting lectures for university students in Uzbekistan. At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
