The Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan confirmed the blocking of TikTok.

The Ministry of Digital Development has confirmed information about restricting access to the TikTok information service in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the agency's statement, the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic issued a reasoned decision on the necessity of restricting access to the TikTok information resource. In this regard, the Service for Regulation and Supervision in the Communications Industry, under the Ministry of Digital Development, sent a letter to telecommunications operators demanding measures to restrict access to this service.

The reason for this decision was the service's violation of Article 2-1 of the Law "On Measures to Prevent Harm to the Health of Children and Their Physical, Intellectual, Psychological, Spiritual, and Moral Development in the Kyrgyz Republic," which defines types of information harmful to children's health and development.
