The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) announced the launch of the AIFC Data Marketplace, a new digital platform designed for the legal exchange, sale, and purchase of data. The platform connects data providers and users from various industries and provides tools for secure, structured, and regulated work with information resources.
The AIFC Data Marketplace allows companies and independent experts to publish datasets, define usage terms, and monetize their information products. Intellectual property rights to the data remain with the providers, and all transactions comply with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and AIFC regulations. Detailed user agreements, privacy policies, and legal mechanisms have been developed for the platform to ensure transparency and protect all parties.
According to the AIFC, the launch of the platform is a step toward establishing a full-fledged "data economy" in Kazakhstan and creating infrastructure through which businesses, research organizations, government agencies, and other market participants can legally and securely exchange data. The platform has already begun accepting initial requests, including those related to the commercial real estate market, confirming interest in this new tool.
The AIFC Data Marketplace is positioned as a solution that will help systematize data management in the country, simplify access to analytical datasets, and open new opportunities for companies operating in the fields of digital technologies, research, and consulting.
