As part of the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the Kyrgyz Republic, a ceremony was held for the signing of memorandums between the State Tax Service and the Committee of State Revenues of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the event, the heads of the two agencies, Almbet Shykmatov and Zhandos Duysenbiev, signed two memorandums:
— on the implementation of a pilot project for the use of navigation seals to track road transport shipments within the framework of mutual trade;
— on mutual cooperation in the movement of motor vehicles and goods.
Under the first memorandum, the pilot project aims to create conditions for tax and customs procedures by the fiscal authorities of both countries in accordance with international standards, ensuring transparency for small and medium-sized businesses.
Under the second memorandum, a pilot project is planned for the integration of information systems to exchange accompanying invoices and electronic bills of lading, as well as the implementation of an electronic queue at border crossing points between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
The signed memorandums aim to create conditions for the introduction of navigation seals and improve control over transportation. This will help reduce the volume of control procedures at border crossing points, increase transparency and efficiency in crossing the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
