A working visit took place to the United Arab Emirates by a delegation from the National Bank of Kazakhstan and the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market.
The main objective of the visit was to strengthen strategic cooperation with regulatory authorities, banking organizations, and investment companies in the UAE, attract new participants and investments to the financial market of Kazakhstan, and increase lending to the real sector of the economy, as well as projects and initiatives in Kazakhstan.
Agreements were reached on leveraging the UAE's expertise in regulating digital financial assets, Islamic banking, and developing the financial market. To implement these agreements, new cooperation agreements will be signed.
The parties also agreed to continue promoting the attraction of investments to the financial markets of Kazakhstan and the UAE, enhance liquidity in exchange markets, and further exchange experience on capital market development between the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, KASE, and the International Financial Centre "Astana." The possibility of Kazakh exchanges joining the Tabadul digital trading platform was also discussed, aiming to attract capital from a broad range of UAE and Gulf Cooperation Council investors into financial instruments issued by Kazakh entities.
Given the UAE's leading positions in digital banking and AI technologies within the financial sector, specific agreements were reached on joint efforts to implement digital solutions and AI technologies in Kazakhstan's financial sector. This will help improve the efficiency of digital financial services and enhance the cyber resilience of the financial ecosystem.
