Kazakh LLM: The Kazakh Language in the World of Artificial Intelligence

The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Head of the Artificial Intelligence Department at Core42 discussed the preparation of AI personnel and the engagement of Kazakh youth in global practices.

A meeting took place with representatives of the leading company in the field of artificial intelligence and cloud computing, Core42. The goal is to develop artificial intelligence in universities, consider issues related to the training of software engineers, data processing specialists, the creation of a digital ecosystem for universities, as well as the exchange of experience in creating a national LLM.

The head of the department introduced the foreign guests to the activities of the Ministry, focusing in detail on the opening of branches of foreign universities, the international scholarship "Bolashak," the educational platform Coursera, and the digitalization of universities.

Additionally, the minister proposed attracting final-year students from Yessenov University and the Kazakh-German Institute of Sustainable Engineering Sciences to complete their internships at Core42. Furthermore, the Kazakh side expressed readiness to provide the company with the necessary specialists.
