Alex Mashrabov, former head of generative artificial intelligence at Snap, and Kazakh AI researcher Yersat Dulat launched Higgsfield AI, a platform for creating and editing AI-based videos. The platform is designed for more individualized and personalized applications.
The first Higgsfield application, Diffuse, based on a specialized text-to-video model, can create videos from scratch or take selfies and create clips featuring that person.
Higgsfield offers a carefully curated set of pre-generated clips, a tool for uploading reference materials, and a quick editor that allows users to describe characters, actions, and scenes they want to depict. Using Diffuse, users can insert themselves directly into a scene created by artificial intelligence or mimic their digital images as if they were filmed in other videos.
Higgsfield has raised eight million dollars so far, most of which came from a recent seed funding round by Menlo Ventures.
